SAFE Programs:  SAFE Watch |  Flyer Distribution | Cookies For Cops | Refuse To Be A Victim®

SAFE volunteers and other contributors periodically prepare SAFE Tipsheets that address an aspect of personal security or public safety. Once approved by an editorial group, SAFE Tipsheets are published on the SAFE website for the benefit of our volunteers and the community as a whole. To date, more than a half-dozen SAFE Tipsheets covering a variety of important topics have been published online.

SAFE Tipsheets, formatted for printing as 8 1/2 x 11” single-sided flyers, may be downloaded in Microsoft Word or PDF format using the links below. These may be freely printed and distributed or incorporated into any non-commercial document, so long as SAFE Atlanta is credited and the document includes a link to SAFE’s website.

Many more SAFE Tipsheets are planned, and recommendations for new SAFE Tipsheets by members of the community always are welcome. New tipsheets will be posted here for download as they are published.

There are many groups in our community that are not online and so do not have the means to access this useful information electronically. In recognition of this fact, and in an effort to empower all members of the community to take action to make it stronger and safer, SAFE launched its Flyer Distribution Program.

Flyer Distribution Program volunteers produce and distribute thousands of SAFE Tipsheets as porch flyers. Printed flyers also are available to be handed out by restaurants, local businesses and churches and other houses of worship. Some SAFE Watch volunteers (another SAFE program) also aid in Flyer Distribution by delivering flyers directly to neighbors they meet in their zones.

This valuable program depends on volunteers to develop SAFE Tipsheet content, produce paper flyers and distribute flyers within the community. More volunteers always are needed.
