EAVBuzz – An innovative and interactive community forum serving the East Atlanta, Ormewood Park and other surrounding communities. The EAVBuzz Public Safety board frequently features non-emergency reports about crime in the area, follow-ups on EAV911 or SAND911 alerts and public safety information produced by SAFE’s volunteers. (Note: Free registration is required to view the EAVBuzzPublic Safety board.)
N0 Victims – A local public safety blog operated independently by one of SAFE’s founding members and featuring weekly articles on practical steps individuals can take to avoid criminal encounters and refuse to be victims of property and violent crime. Other weekly articles deal with aspects of firearms safety and responsible firearms ownership. No Victims content frequently is featured on SAFE’s blog and forms the basis for many of the SAFE tipsheets. (Note: SAFE neither endorses or condemns firearms ownership and does not reproduce No Victims content related to firearms on its website.)
East Atlanta Security Patrol – The East Atlanta Security Patrol (“EASP”) is an effort by the East Atlanta Community Association, Inc. (“EACA”) to enhance safety in East Atlanta. Specifically, off-duty Zone Six Police Officers will be hired to perform additional patrols within Beat 610, which is the police designation for the East Atlanta community, beyond those presently being performed by the police.
SAND Trolley Patrol – The Trolley Patrol is a non-profit corporation that contracts through MDS Protective Service, Inc. in hiring uniformed, off-duty City of Atlanta police officers to patrol our streets in their own, unmarked cars. The officers carry police radios and are able to immediately respond to 9-1-1 calls. Additionally, they carry a cell phone provided by The Trolley Patrol.
Atlanta Crimestoppers - Crime Stoppers Atlanta is a collaborative program that brings together the Atlanta-area law enforcement agencies, the community and the media to solve crime. A program of the Atlanta Police Foundation, Crime Stoppers Atlanta is dedicated to the reduction of crime, to the prompt solution of crimes, and to rewarding persons who provide information that leads to the arrest of criminals.
